How refreshing it is to have a home-made smoothie, comprising of all healthy and fresh ingredients, no additives and preservatives and so light on tummy. You may skip honey and use low fat milk if you need a much healthier smoothie, but honestly telling, these two fruits taste so much good together.
Here is a quick recipe for 2 regular glasses or one jar of smoothie:
Bananas – 1 cup sliced, frozen
Strawberries – 1 cup sliced, frozen
Honey – 1 tbsp
Milk – 1 cup, cold (full fat)
Whipped cream – for topping
– Take clean and fresh fruits, cut and freeze for an hour at least.
– You can either put them together with milk and honey in blender and make one smoothie. Or like me, blend strawberries with half milk and honey. Add the smoothie in serving jar. Then blend bananas with remaining milk and add this smoothie over the first one.
– This will give it a pretty two tone of pink and yellow and you can enjoy both flavors separately.
– Top it with your choice of whipped cream or syrups, i like to keep it simple so usually avoid adding any other syrups or flavors.
